Resources
The following are my collected resources from four years of playing Certamen. These are not sources and have largely not been proofread, so beware mistakes.
My hope is simply that they may prove useful to the aspiring player.
Latin-English Derivatives Dictionary: A condensed version of Rudolph Schaeffer's Latin-English Derivative Dictionary, with added definitions.
Miscellaneous A+G Notes: Notes taken over one read-through of Allen and Greenough’s New Latin Grammar.
Ketan Ramakrishnan’s Lit Notes, Expanded: An expanded version of Ketan Ramakrishnan’s “A Ludicrously Comprehensive Outline of Latin Literature.” Some of the listed opening lines may be unsourced.
Quizlets, Novice and Intermediate: Introductory Quizlets on history, culture, mythology, PMAQ, and vocabulary. Generally well-made and proofed.
Quizlets, Advanced: Expansive Quizlets on Advanced-level history, culture, literature, PMAQ, vocabulary, and derivatives.
Of varying quality overall. History and literature taken mostly from outlines, culture from Johnston, PMAQ from Erlich and Stone, vocabulary from Brunel, and mythology from Tripp.
